Game Designer

  • ⚙️ Designed and balanced key systems such as infinite levels, decorations, combo system and tutorials, focused on improving the player experience .

  • 📈 Calibrated levels, prices, and queue times using data analysis to optimize gameplay and monetization .

  • 🏗️ I contributed to the creation of new cinemas , researching recipes and machinery to achieve a coherent and fun representation .

  • 🌐 Responsible for video game localizations through the implementation and training of generative AI (ChatGPT) for better cultural representation.

  • 🗂️ I documented the game systems , monetization strategies, and calibrations applied throughout development.

  • I managed Scrum using a Notion template. This allowed me to coordinate tasks around each new sprint.

  • I designed the team's roadmap for the game's global launch.

SAMPLES

I designed the tutorial and objective progression for the game, ensuring a gradual introduction to each mechanic and system rule. I used Figma to create visual diagrams that allowed the team to clearly understand the sequence, purpose, and content of each tutorial level.

Additionally, I developed a second complementary layout to illustrate the UI distribution and the key messages triggered at each stage of the learning process.
These materials evolved throughout the development, and their final versions were officially documented as internal references for the team.

Part of a multidisciplinary team

I gained valuable experience in a professional environment within the local Peruvian industry. I learned to align my efforts to fulfill my responsibilities with excellence, while also striving for more without interfering with my teammates’ work.
I recognized the importance of effective communication and worked on improving it to ensure the team felt comfortable and focused. This learning process included everything from adjusting the tone to carefully choosing words depending on the area I was communicating with.

Taking Responsibility for Changes

I learned that when improving systems, it's essential to consider both gameplay and monetization. Making major changes can have significant repercussions, not only in the way the game plays but also in how it's perceived.
This experience taught me that while personal ideas have value, it's not always wise to hold on to them, especially if they alter fundamental aspects of the design.
